For Editors
At ACW Press, our editors are instrumental in upholding the high standards of our scholarly publications. As an editor, you oversee the peer-review process, ensure the quality and integrity of the research we publish, and support authors throughout the publication journey.
This page provides comprehensive information on your responsibilities and the procedures you will follow as an editor for ACW Press.
Editorial Process, Peer Review, and Production
The editorial process at ACW Press is designed to ensure rigorous evaluation and high-quality publication. Here is a detailed overview of the procedure:
Initial Submission and Screening: Manuscripts are first submitted through our online submission system and undergo an initial screening by the editorial team. This step ensures the submissions meet the journal's scope and basic quality criteria.
Peer Review: Suitable manuscripts are then sent to expert reviewers for a double-blind peer review. Reviewers provide detailed feedback and recommendations regarding the manuscript's quality, originality, and significance.
Editorial Decision: Based on the reviewers' reports, the editor decides to accept, request revisions, or reject the manuscript. This decision and the reviewers' comments are communicated to the authors.
Revisions and Resubmission: If revisions are required, authors are asked to revise their manuscripts and resubmit them for further evaluation. The revised manuscripts may be returned to the original or new reviewers for additional review.
Production: Once a manuscript is accepted, it enters the production phase, where it undergoes copyediting, typesetting, and proofreading before final publication. The editor ensures that the final manuscript meets all quality standards and is ready for publication.
Open Access
ACW Press is dedicated to the principles of open access, ensuring that all published research is freely accessible to readers worldwide. Our open-access model promotes the dissemination of knowledge, increases the visibility and impact of research, and supports the academic community's goal of advancing science and scholarship.
